Tai Chi internal power is complicated and takes many years to master. In this course, I will break down and demonstrate a step by step method on how to apply internal power to the 74 movements of Chen Style Tai Chi.
Class content:
1. Learn the main points of practicing internal power
2. Dan Tian breathing explanation and demonstration
3. Demonstrate Dan Tian internal rotation
4. Show how to unite the body with chi energy (breathing)
One 10 minute video
Content: Learn how to practice Dan Tian breathing. I will explain in detail the key points of breathing in and breathing out. I will also cover common mistakes and what not to do. In this video, I will teach the ancient Dan Tian breathing method.
One 7 minute video
Content: In ancient times, because it was seen as the source of martial arts power, the Dan Tian Internal Rotation was a secret held by the Chen Family.
In this video I will explain the core theory behind the rotation as well as how to train and practice the movement.
One 5 minute video
Content: I will teach several requirements for the unity of body and chi energy. Without understanding these points, it is impossible to reach oneness of body and chi energy.
74 videos (each movement has 1 independent video that lasts from 3 to 6 minutes)
Content: Learn when to breath in and when to breath out with each of the 74 movements. This is the key to Tai Chi and it’s internal power.
In this course, I will explain each movement in detail. Students can easily follow my instructions. I will then teach how to apply internal power to each movement.
Internal power is important to practice because “chi” or breathing is the most important part of Tai Chi. In this course, I will share with you how to use breathing when practicing the four courses: Breath in and breath out with Dan Tian, Dan Tian internal rotation, Oneness of body and chi, and breathing when practicing (the Old Form) Tai Chi 74 movements.
These 4 components of Tai Chi are complimentary, control of Dan Tian breathing and key points of the oneness of movement and Chi energy, all have a direct influence on the practice of the old form 74 movements. I will teach how to master the key points and principles which is the secret to understanding and practicing Tai Chi. This knowledge is the source of martial arts power and therefore highly prized.
To learn Tai Chi internal power, you must practice the breathing method of classic Chen-style Tai Chi Old Form with the 74 movements. This is the foundation and key point of practicing internal power.
Internal power is complicated so in this course, I will explain every movement in detail. I will explain common mistakes that people make.
